Hello ... I am trying to figure out how a certain smooth animation is being done. I am not sure if it is just a regular motion tween with a high FPS ... or if it is some kind of ActionScripting that is going on ... but the animation of objects into the main scenes are very smooth ... and I have not been able to recreate this effect on my own.

Does the filesize of your image have anything to do with it? I have already tried 120fps ... and my animation is choppy compared to this one. Check it out for yourself ... let me know if you have any ideas! Thanks so much in advance.

120fps is a bit overkill. Set your fps to about 30fps, should do the trick.

Get rid of _alpha settings completely.

The website uses png bitmaps. They'll animate more smoothly than sets of vector shapes.

Are you using some easing, like you see on the website? That will help.

Make your animations zippy like this... swift animations can often look smoother because the eye tricks the brain more.

Don't try and animate too many things simultaneously... the website staggers the animations.. makes for a nice effect and smooths things alot.
