i'd say flickr. it's free for a little while. i came across another cool photo site but i forget what it's called.

check out msn spaces. its free as far as i know and you can personalize it. they give you a url to let friends access it. you can write a blog about any of your traveling adventures along with displaying your photos.

you can check mine out and see if its something you like.

Its not for photos but videos that you take with your digicam,
