customize checkbox component

hello all. just a simple question as to weather or not i can customize the checkbox component. change the font, size, color etc... should be simple but i cant seem to find out how to do it... if it's possible.

well i got the font to customize... real easy. just took me forever to find the proper tutorial. jezzzzzzzz. so i satisfied for now. thanx for your help.
