Hi all,
I wanted to know whether I can load a PDF file in flash.
Secondly I also wanted to know when I select a text in the PDF file that loaded in the flash application would I be able to capture the x,y coordinates and the page num of the PDF
It would be great if any one can direct me

If this is online, then no, you can't load a PDF into Flash - you can launch one with getURL but it will open in a new browser window or Acrobat Reader...
If this is a standalone projector, you can use a third party tool like Zinc for this...

No, you cannot directly load a PDF into Flash. A possible alternative would be to use a server side solution that could translate the PDF into text and then load it into Flash (but that would lose all of the formatting and probably take way too much work).
One other option would be to use the getURL() actionscript function to point to the PDF document.

I could be wrong since I don't use FMX 2004 much but I think I heard people saying that you can load PDF file natively in Flash if done in Projector... Did I hear something totally different???

this looks promising... FMProjector (costs 129 bucks though)...
try the trial maybe it will suite you.
