Hullo there.
I've just finished my bands new website. My first flash projekt ever.

Even though the site's in danish, and not completely finished, i would like some comments.
Things I know are missing is a skip intro/music off button on the preloader.
And the downloads and link pages are not made yet.

Go to http://www.icecreamvendors.dk . I hope you enjoy the music and the flashy spotlights.

Try to check my own site www.suwalski.com. I didn't make that on my own though.

Best regards

Hi,

Really nice. Spotlights are a little too much. Not as smooth as it could have been. Loved the music, any chance of getting it playing continually instead of just when I hit the links. I had to keep clicking different links to keep listening.

cheers.

Hi Poab

Thank you for your reply. Sorry that i've taken so long to reply, but i've been to Cuba, studying the music for almost a month. Plus there's been some problems about my log in.

I'm sad to hear, that you find the spotlights are to much, as they are almost the only content in my animation. Do you have any suggestion to make the animation smoother ?.

Regarding the music: The next thing i'm gonna do, is to make a download page, where you can get the entire song along with a couple of other melodies, our flyer etc.
Until then, try to put the mouse on top of the bandlogo. Then there'll be a loop playing a bit of the song intro. (this does not work on the page named "forside" ("frontpage"), because there was a risk that the user would accidentially trigger the loop while the song was playing)

By the way, is there anybody out there who has some good ideas, on how to remove antialiasing on small letters ?.

Best regards

Hi,

Can't remember why I didn't like the spotlights. I think it's because they cross over the content. Maybe you could make them come down behind the boxes so it looks like they're backstage.

To make the animation smoother put the frame rate up.

Oh, another thing about the spotlights: Green one's fine but black light? The intro uses them well. It's just the rollovers I'm talking about.

There's numerous ways of removing anti-aliasing on small letters. Probably your best bet is, in the text options panel click 'use device fonts'. Failing that do a search here for 'blurry text' or something because I know there're lots of posts on the subject.

cheers.

Agreed on the spotlight thing. It's over the content...distracting...
