Hi everyone! :)

I pretty new to Flash, and having an ongoing project. I'm designing a Homepage for an upcoming band, and I'm having really big plans about the site. It's a bit difficult to explain in detail, but I'll give it a try..... ;)

I'm thinking of letting the viewer just only a part of my whole flash page, and if he i.e. presses the 'news' button, his view will be moved to a different coordinates in the page, to the news section. Really hard to explain without a picture, but I hope u understand the idea....

Since I'm new to "the game", I'm wondering if there are any limits to how complex the animation can be, and how big the site can be...

Will be thankful for any answer....

Yes, there are limits, but most lie more with bandwith and processor power.

But, no matter how gorgeous your site looks, nobody is going to wait an hour for anything to happen. Or keep watching if things just look sluggish and inconsistent (because their processor can't handle all your complex graphics).

The basic aim is actually to at least have something on screen within 5 seconds (or else people leave), so if you need more, you're going to need a 'preloader'.
