Hi there,
I have just completed my third ever web site and my second portfolio site, so please could I have some feedback on how it looks and works.
http://www.jh2o.biz/
I am currently aware of a problem with my music jukebox and am in the process of correcting this, so prepare for a stuttering text scroller!I am also aware that a few of my fonts my look slightly blurry.I am not sure how to solve this as they are pixel fonts and positioned exactly and rounded off too.
As I am just opening my design studio I have not yet added any clients to be portfolio so I am affriad that is currently empty, although I am now working on my first client site which will be added in the next few weeks.
Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to comment, but please only post constructive feedback.
Kind regards and all the best,
Jason Pickford

I really like it! How long did it take? did you design it all from scratch?

Thank you for taking the time to comment, it means a great deal to me to get feedback and especially when its good too.
I designed the site from scratch over a period of about 2 months, as I only get time to work on my web design at night when I get home from my daytime job which is helping me finance my web design business whilst it gets established.
Thanks for taking the time to reply and comment, all the best.

Nice work. I like the layout.
The main navigation does seem a little small. (I'm running 1280x1024) Maybe just scale everything out a little bit making the top content area bigger than the bottom nav content. I'm thinking... make the nav buttons show a little more indication when activated.
Just some thoughts.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, it is much appreicated. I am happy you like the site and I will see if I can improve the effects on the navbar as I do agree.

Thats really good. It runs really smoothly and looks great.
Any chance, would you be the same jh20 that created the Ball revamped games?

Thanks for the feedback and I am happy you like my site. Unfortunately though, I am not the jh2o that made the games you are refering too.
Take care and al the best,

Impressive scripting. But honestly....horrible design! Fonts are terrible and blue text should be avoided(It's the hardest on the eye) - especially on a blue background. You obviously can harness Flash really well, just take a bit more time on the look and feel....great animation and fantastic scripting can't rescue a poorly designed, ugly site.

I just noticed the feature down the bottom that remembers your name. Thats just a little extra that makes it nicer.
Im not a designer so I can't comment on the design but the fonts arent hard to read and arent bad on the eyes, then again I can read Yellow on white fairly clearly so you should probably listen to kraaft.

It's not a case of whether or not you can read it....just that your eyes have to work harder, thus making them strain....

On Contact the text looks blurry, is it really blurry or is it a trick on my eyes.

Thanks once again for all the feedback and I will take onboard all comments and opinions, although you obviosuly can't please everyone. The site is designed very differently than most I admit, which most designers will love or hate.
As for the fonts, I have had much trouble with them even though they are pixel fonts.I am trying desperately to get some time aside to make some improvements to the site but am so busy its hard.
Thanks again to everyone though,
Jason Pickford
