Flash Elements Flickering in Firefox on PC

Flash-related question with no help from the HTML dev community:

We are finding an issue with Flash elements in an XHTML page flickering when we use JavaScript and CSS to refresh the page content. This seems to happen only in FireFox on the PC.

The Flash "Quick Vote" and ads will briefly flicker over the featured article when JavaScript refreshes the "Market Headlines" QuoteMedia copyright info.

Anyone else run into an issue like this as a Flash developer and find a fix? I have seen a variety

I have a similar problem and cant find where to solve it. The thing is its fine if the only html is that which is displaying the flash plugin. The minute that it is surrounded by the page content its a problem, i know thats a clue.

But if you found out what it was I'd like to hear. Its an as3 project and therefore player 9.
