.ai illustrator files into flash

I've got a vector image in illustrator and i want to import into flash
but flash doesnt accept the file.

how should i set up + save the .ai file so that flash accepts it?

I didn't have any trouble trying to import an ai-file awhile back, but I did export the ai to swf and imported that into my fla (because the colors were all messed up when I imported the ai).

I remember reading a few threads on the subject but I couldn't find it in my bookmarks, so if I were you I'd try doing a search on the forums...
