OK so two days ago I was sick of Flash and bored silly waiting on a phone call, so I looked through over 1000 wallpapers and some groovy ICQ skins which I found over at http://www.deviantart.com/ . Currently my wallpaper is this one ( http://www.deviantart.com/deviation.php?id=133450 ) but I'd like to know what other mad wallpapers people use. I've been through all those at www.phong.com which I lurve and now I'm in search of fresh blood! I'm into modding my desktop a bit. Lord knows I stare at it for long enough!

Jesse, couldn't you at least find one wallpaper image you liked at my site? And just because you're "Jesse", if you need a larger version of any of them, I'll send'em to you.
If anyone wants to see what desktop I use, a thumbnail can be found here: http://pixelwit.com/temp/myDesktop.jpg

Hey pixel, you like that big eye starin' at you all the time? Speaking of eyes, how about the image of Sauron's eye? That would be a cool desktop. You know the one I'm speaking of, right?

Sauron's eye: I'm guessing it's a Lord of the Rings reference (brief web search). Haven't read the book or seen the movie.
Love the eye. It's been up much longer than any other background I've had (sometimes in the wee hours of the night I can see it breathe). It's also good for camouflaging desktop icons. Plus it creeps out visitors.
What's on your desktop???

Personally I think Lord Of the Rings completely outdid Episode 1. In leaps and bounds. I'm a big fan of star wars, and I'm not anti-Ep1 but it just wasn't as good.
Sauron's eye would be good but those scorching reds and oranges would give you eye strain :)

well, my wallpaper at the mo is a lovely photo of Sony Dog (Aibo) hanging out at my parent's house, though sad to say he isn't ours, just borrowed from my Dad's work for the evening ;0(
He is so lovely.
so.. if anyone wants to donate one to me...or has a spare couple of grand to buy me a nice cyber pet?... thanks
Before that it was Ulala (Space Channel 5 (Dreamcast)) themed with matching screensaver, she is very cool.
Anyway...have I bored you enough yet?

I am boring with my desktop. I usually put a new picture on it every day...Something small and unobtrusive. Usually penguins....
or moose....the occasional porn....sure I admit it....
***f***ing weirdo***
LOTR...read the book first. Not to say that you won't enjoy the movie but there is sooooo much left out, of course, and you get all the subtleties...
What'd y'all think of the music? I hated it and sometimes wanted to choke Enya...Reminded me too much of that Titanic movie of which I thought was the worst thing ever put to the screen...

For a while i had that image of NY that went around with the twin towers redesigned as a big finger (giving the world the bird).
Usually i just use images from my digital camera.
Currently I have a shot that i took at a DriveByTruckers show on my pc and nothing on my mac.

I used to use no wallpaper when I had a bad video card, as refershing would take time, but now I exploit my hardware to the max!
