How is this done?

Hi guys,

I am a newbie flash person and I really love this effect:

When you mouse over the blank red/brown area it reveals squares of images and then fades out after a certain time.
Can any one tell me how this is done? Or point me in the right direction of a tutorial which uses the same kinda concept?

I think this zip is what your looking for. I keyed frames for a tile with alpha set to 100 75 50 25 0. then I added the script to the frame for the tiles. You can check it out.
