A True Community Project?

A True Community Project?

What would people think of creating a concept based application/webspace over a given timespace on the fly, that would intend to achieve goals such as:

Teamwork
Education
Creative

Or would this just turn into a war of words/ideas?

If we could develop a project that contains many of the most frequently asked AS question's etc..I guess the tool could then serve a larger purpose as a targeted reference point or something?

Ummm... isn't that what the forum is already? Or are you proposing that we all get together and build something? Hmmm...

Yeah...but much more specific along the lines of

'All get together and build something...'

I love the sense of 'Community' that the land of the forum offers, and would very much like to be a part of a 'Community based project' that would not be dissimilar to what we experience within are working based environments, except that it could contain:

A larger team base of Flash enthusiast’s
More ideas/opinions/fights/chaos
An organic growth viewed over time

I always like these ideas... What would we build? I think it woul djust be good to build something which is practical and pushes the envelope a bit. Big projects often aren't useful for people to learn from because there's too much code to clutter up what they're trying to find... just my opinion.

The practically of something larger could as you said confuse/complicate the goals of a collabrative project like this.

And we would also have to ensure that the 'project' aviods cross-referencing any the tutorials/movies already posted.

'Pushing out the envelope', i think this to would have to be an integral part of the project to maintain focus/challange/fun?.

this was really an 'i agree' kinda post....some ideas are on the way next ;)

i also love this forum. seems to me that any, and i mean any prob i have (which is often as i am fairly new to flash) can be solved here.

im not a member of other forums but surely they can not be as pro-active as this 1?

it would be good to do something to show other forums what is happening here and to try and maybe take actionscripts.org to another level. ie. some peeps (not sure who u are? i presume Jesse?) actually gets something back from the site.

i would also love to work alongside experience peeps to gain knowledge myself
