Hey all,

hope this would be the right section to ask this, but I want to edit an image in photoshop and transfer it across to flash. Now I've edited the image in photoshop so that theres no background but when i import it into flash it gives me a white background...

probably a really silly request but anyone got any quick fire solution? or just maybe point me to the right direction!

Thanks

how are you importing it into Flash?

I suggest saving as a PNG and importing it through that.

I import bitmaps as well, but I use Fireworks (Macromedia always) to edit them, but when I import the file it creates some type of stroke, even in PNG 8.

I have a picture of a car in my background, and I've created buttons from parts of that car, but when I place them on top of the car in the same original locations it appears with that stroke that is simply awfull.

But I noticed that Flash asks me some question when I import a Fireworks png: what should I answer or can I prevent this special stroke from appearing?

It's beacuse your proberly saving it as JPEG.
PNG or GIF sopport transparency so there will be no background with them.

gimbras - not sure what you mean but try these...
make sure the images are not in a movie clip that has been resized in any way, and that the images are perfectly lined up so that x and y properties are at .0 instead of something like .5
Or it could be compression doing it, in the Library window click on the icon next to the image and set it to Lossless PNG in the compression box.
