How to play continues background music

I'm having problems on how to play a background sound that doesn't stop when you click on a new link. when i attach the music to one movie when i load the next the sound stops. if i attach music to the other movies, they start at the beginning.. again. help please

Confusion in your post!

Are you talking about new html pages or loading some other movies in a main interface movie? If the latter, are you loading the movies on another level, in a movie clip holder, or replacing the main movie with your new loaded movie?

Are you using a soundObject?

Please provide more info...

i'm loading other movies in a main interface movie and replacing the main movie. is there a different way to load movies? will that help make the sound clip stay in the background?

Load a seperate sound.swf on another level (see the first link above), and load your external movies in a container clip, rather than replacing the main movie...
