Hey, haven't been around that much lately. trying to catch up with threads today.
Read a really good book lately called "Don't Make me Think" on web usability. Some no brainer stuff in there but also some good little nuggets of wisdom. Wondering if anybody else had read it and what they thought.

Yeah one of the speakers at FK01 told us about that... they listed a few actually but I've since lost the notes I made. it was an interesting session, talking about how you shouldn't abuse Flash when it come sto navigations. Not everyone is net savvy so it's best to keep buttons as buttons (so that hand shows up) and allow common components like the user's back button, etc.

Funny...just got handed that book a few weeks ago! Thing I thought annoying was all those footnotes....made me laugh. Here the guy talking about usability and I found it annoying to have to interupt the train of thought in reading with those footnotes...
But, all in all, "some good little nuggets of wisdom"...as you say...
add...
remember the analogy of the streetsigns? How we become so used to looking in certain areas and when they aren't there we are so lost? How freaking true...move to Europe and you will see it's impossible to navigate by American standards...
hmmm...does that say something about web design in general?
