trying to create button

I am trying to create a nav bar for my site...and i have never really used flash before I attatched the movie as a jpeg.

I am trying to make the buttons change color for the over/down states and for the "products" "featured rig" and "links" buttons i was trying to make a drop down menu....but first i couldnt even get the buttons to do the rollover. Do i create the button states and then a movie? If that is true...should i make a frame to start out? Should I put buttons in seperate layers? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Make all your buttons a library item. Double click on them to see the stuff I did. Then to get you off and running, you need a little script added to the buttons, and a stop frame action in frame 1 of your movie. The only catch is that the files I made are Flash MX. I hope you can open them. Try the Flash MX free trial version found at Macromedia.com
