I did a search on this forum and found nothing on SVG so I'd like to hear what everyone's opinion on SVG (scalable vector graphics) is?
Now that Macromedia have been bought out by Adobe, what will their plans with Flash be as far as SVG is concerned? Adobe already have built an SVG player and browsers such as Opera 8 come box-standard with the XML based SVG player.
Do we think that Macromedia will ditch SWF in favour of SVG? They would have to since SVG is an open standard which means companies will no longer pay for the flash player plugin...also, it's XML based meaning it's open to all.
