What is the extent of the objects and properties that can be controlled by ActionScript? I've been searching documention for weeks looking the answer. It seems that ActionScript can only control Movie Clips, but I can't find this in writing anywhere. Obvoiusly, text fields have to be able to be controlled. So what's controlable and what's not? Learning the scripting process would be more much easier if the important parts of the language were actually documented well. I hope someone can help.
Thanks.

The ActionScript Dictionary which ships with Flash is really quite good in my opinion. Flash can manipulate the properties of MovieClips, Sounds, Data Objects, XML. All the things that are considerred 'Object's in Flash bascially. Text field manipulation is limited. Since HTML is supported you can manipulate the HTML tags in a text field to adapt color, size etc. Flash 6 supports more Text Field manipulation.
i've noticed you have been mentioning some flash 6 features lately... did you get on as a flash 6 beta tester?? if so, are you able (will mm let you) talk about it abit, give as synopsis of what you think so far???
