I need to send out a newsletter-like email, but I have no idea how to send html emails! I would assume that you could also include flash animations...

Are there any good tutorials on this?

thanks.

that tutorial tells how to set up a form and send out info....

what I need is a tutorial on how send an email from ..say 'hotmail'... and have the recipient of that mail see it as a formatted email with pictures or flash in place.....kinda like a web page in their inbox!

that is a handy tutorial though Rico D!!!!!!

thanks

Rico D! many thanks for the help!!

I actually found that same article on webmonkey earlier... but it was written about 4 years ago and does not thoroughly explain how to send them...and..
Unfortunately, I am a technical dumbass and need step by step instructions on how to get the job done!

thanks again.

Why ? Is it different than sending regular e-mail ? Also, u stated u wanted to use a webbased e-mailaccount like hotmail... I might be wrong here, but I don't think thats gonna work ...

hopefully this will will clear up what I am looking for.....take a look at this screencap from my outlook inbox:

http://www.efficientsea.com/actionscripts/html_email.jpg

I want to be able to control the background color of the email and all the other things that make the email look as if it is a webpage...

I have tried to paste 'HTML' in and clicked OPTION > HTML....
.....to no avail.

I send my HTML e-mail using outlook express.
This is how you do it.
Open OE click message>new message>format>apply stationary>
more stationary>find your HTML document on your computer>
click ok.For some reason you can only see the background at this point.exit message screen.>click message again>new message using>your html document should now be listed ,select it .When
your message window pops up your HtML page should be displayed and ready to send.It will now be stored in Outlook Express .You can access it anytime by clicking "new message using".

Hope this helps-Mac
