i need help for a design-a-cake project using flash...pls read the details....pls...

Hi i'm mAi2x-female college student. I'm really having difficulty with a project in school. I'm supposed to create a system (using flash) that will allow someone to design a cake.(and i just started to read some flash books)

If you have any ideas, comments, suggestions or anything that will help me regarding this matter, then please don't hesitate.

The objects/components like the cake layer,icing,figurines will be accessed from a database. And i was thinking of using .ai (adobe illustrator). So the user will just click from a selection and they will appear on the canvas and he can rotate them,etc.

Since i don't know hpw to do it in 3d, i decided to make it in 2d. the canvas is divided into 2: for the front view of the cake, and the top view.

These are the following tools available:
* arrow tool - to select different objects

* clear- erase everything on the canvas

* rotate -rotate the object(except the layer) by 45 degrees intervals

* add text - you know those messages on cakes? but i have no idea how to
make the text fit inside a round layer for example, where the text should be curved

*change color
*Scale objects - the sizes are predefined, so the user can choose from: S,M,L

* undo- only one move like windows paint/notepad

*redo- also only 1 move

* zoom

* print - whats on the canvas only.

Pls guys, i really really need your help. the deadline of my proj is on december 17 and i can't do it all by myself!:eek: PLS!!!!!

I was working on a similar project once, but for designing T-shirts. I drop the project about half way through. I would be more than happy to give you the source code and files for it. Its a large file, so I cant attach it here.

Geez... I don't know what's wrong with me, but it took almost 3 minutes to figure out the meaning of that line... I even googled for 'mAi2x-female'... :(

That sure sounds like a mighty big project for a beginner... Do you really want to use Flash for it??? You've got less than 1 month to finish it and it's going to take some time to do the project even if Cota gives you an access to his full source file... Maybe use whatever language you are best at to finish in time???

Oh... Doesn't your school have honor code or something??? Maybe I have misread your post, but it sounds like 'do this for me' type of question instead of 'help me achieve my goal'... :(
