View Full Version : IE flash player 8 problems

Hiya guys,
I'm having some serious issues with IE and flash player 8. I have put in a detection script that when I run it it tells me the Flash player isn't installed, which it is. I remove the detection script from the site and it just does'nt show any of the flash in IE.

I need help and fast. This is the url where this is all going down:

I see it fine on IE 5.5 (Flash player 7), and on IE6 & Firefox (Flash player 8).

Yeah it was a very curious problem. I deleted the doctype and everything worked fine. I tried four differnet doctypes but all of them made flash fail... More or less I put it down to an IE problem than a Flash player problem

maybe it's because flash doesn't perform xml validation.. the DOCTYPE is unneeded

HELP, PLEASE! ;)

If you know how to fix this problem, please describe in easy detail how to fix this.

I keep thinking MS would fix these issues by now, but I'm tired of waiting.

At this point, I'd even uninstall IE8 and reinstall IE7 if that would solve the problems.

Any advice for this Gramma would be greatly appreciated.
