Ok after a couple of quick pow wows with Red and 20 deep in the heart of Wayland I've come up with the first public draft of the wireframe. I'd like everybod'y input on it (what's missing, what's too much etc...) It's meant to be very basic and unsexy. Also when we finally get around to really designing it this may not be the exact layout...feel free to pull together a simple layout like this of your own if you think that you might have a better space organization idea.

the 4 main elements are

1 utilities (things like save, goto, change skin and help)
2. the chat room which is composed of the output field, the input field, the quick keys below the input field and the enter button
3. the white board
4. the @who field, dsiplayin a refreshed list of all who are on board at any given moment.

How about a map? Or is that what a whiteboard is?

I had a map in there but i took it out because we were gonna teleport from room to room. But i suppose i could add it back in. It would give it that sense of "real space".

Click here (http://www.actionscript.org/forums/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=9046) to see what the white board is.

BOO-YAH!

even included an advertising space! gotta make that money!

oh yeah, i think that initially we had said no popup but i think we might consider it. we're tight on real estate, i've designed it for an 800x600 ( i think) we could use all of the space that we could get and eliminating all of the toolbars etc... would help.

I dunno if this has been discussed already, but I really like it when an app has different 'modes'. Like an advanced user mode (which removes the button toolbar for instance) and that windows are resizeable or minimizable like with the script window in Flash.
