Hi all
I usually make my design using illustrator 9.0... Then I export the work as SWF file, some problems occur when importing this SWF file which is flash doesn't recognizes the transparency mode like: color dodge, color burn, luminosity, ....
Any suggestion will be great help.
By the way I did expand appearance, and flatten transparency for objects, but it didn't work..???!!!??
Thanks alot
Hi,
I don't know if you have the option in Illustrator, (because I haven't got it) but for anything like that, try saving as a .png (24) and importing. Unfortunatly you're into the realms of bitmap.
cheers.

try this (and i know it's a pain) rather than bringing everything in at once via import just cust and paste straight from illustrator to individual flash MCs. then you can manioulate individual elements from there with alpha's etc.
that's one way might work, probably not the only way.
also look at ways that you might be able to export from illustrator. importing an eps exported from illustrator may also work... Chances are you will lose the layer effects but you may still maintain the image. not at work so don't have flash or ill. to work with to test, sorry.
aslo try posting this in the "help sections" rather than general chat section. Probably get a better response.

Hello pixel-me
I tend to work the same way, that is draw in Illustrator and then import into Flash as an swf. It's such a nuisance, and I haven't yet found a way to get round importing the effects. Sometimes it seems to work because Flash automatically converts the transparancies and gradients into symbols but mostly it doesn't. And cutting and pasting is random too, often the pasted images get mashed in the process. It's rubbish but the only way I have found to get a decent result is to draw all my outlines in Illustrator, import into Flash and colour/gradient/alpha it once I'm on the stage.
I'm sure there must be a more compatible way but I certainly haven't found it yet!

Hey people ...
Thank u all for ur replies, I think I have a temporary solution which is to take that part that doesn't work and export it as an image ".jpg or .gif" and then import it in flash....
I guess that's it .
I wonder if this problem is solved in Flash 6 !!!!??!!
