Aha!
Thats the label marker - you use them to label certain points in your timeline so Flash can be told to go there.
I you select a keyframe in your timeline, you can add a label by opening the Frame panel and typing in a name inthe text field.

Cablecharlz, plz read the forum rules. Thread titles oughta be descriptive or at least related to the problem. Is more helpful to potential helpers.

In addition to the function of frame labels:
If you use gotoAndPlay(10), it is an absolute value. If you use a frame label it's relative. That's handy when you change the length of the parts of your film. After that, frame #10 can be #20 and you have to change all the links to frame #10. If you use a frame label, all is automatically changed.
Saves time.

That's right, but the proper way to make your flash is to start with at least 3 layer:
[from bottom]
- Background
- Actions
- Lables
So the lables should be in a seperate layer .... Oooops

Just an add on...I think it is more advisable to have actions as the UPPERMOST layer followed by the frame labels layer...
Loading and all that...but, it is totally up to you!
