Hi,
O.K. This is almost certainly a completely stupid question, but....
I've noticed hundreds of queries about blurred text on this and other forums. I've been trying it myself, via photoshop, as individual letters and then constructing them as words in the flash file. Then something occured to me.
Is there any reason at all that you can't just acquire some font creation software, take whatever font you want to blur, and create a new font, with the blur effect? So, create a new font, called 'arial blur' for example, that's identical to arial but the characters are blurred.
You're not infringing on copyright because you're not distributing the font.
This seems so easy there's got to be some thing wrong with the idea. Hasn't there?
cheers.
