just wondering... how can i draw a shape outline, as with a layer guide but more complex, i.e. a human body

weeell, you could try to do some masking tween animation. have your complex outline (i.e human body) in the masked layer, and then in the mask layer the tween.
it would be a way...

I would break apart the human body, then fill it with a colour...then use the contract tool, and delete everything contracted to give an outline
