Does anyone have any idea how to convert a flash animation that has movie clips in it to .mov or any format that can be put on dvd??

Movie clips and filters do not show up when you convert to .mov through publish. Is it impossible to convert movieclips?

Ive been trying to figure this out for awhile now and have had no luck. Im thinking my only option is to play my flash file on full screen while hooking my comp to a television and record it live from there.

There are a few programs but I am not sure if they also convert the filters, you could use a screen recording program and save it as .mov

I would probably choose:

Camtasia (p://www.techsmith.com/products/studio/default.asp?CMP=KAC-CGoogle)

But if you just search google it will return many decent results.

Have it but haven't used it yet. You're converting a .swf, so anything that shows up in the .swf (movie clips included...) should show up in the video.

As for interactivity, like buttons loading movies... No, I guess that wouldn't work.

Screen recording can be good, as it doesnt matter if you have code or not, it captures whatever appears in the contained area, although it would probably run slowly.

Having problems with capturing an swf in Geovid- it's really jerky. My frame rates are correct. Just wondering if it's because I'm using the demo version.

Does anyone have any ideas?

My swf is 25 fps

thanks y'all

I was having this same issue on a mac and I figured out a way around it. First export an swf of the movie but save down to flash player 4. This will flatten the movie so that the embedded movie clips are no longer an issue. then open the swf through quicktime (must have pro version) and export using animation compressor. the end product is a perfectly rendered video of your swf! :D

i use geovid flash to video encoder PRO with an option of DVD burning. it converts swf or flv to avi, asf, wmv, mpeg, gif and also can convert to dvd format and burn dvd automatically. it's very convenient you know
