HA! That was about like stupid british humor (i.e. Monty Python and the Holy Grail).

Well, for me short intros like http://www.2advanced.com I find pretty neat.

I opened up this thread with the idea of getting hang of the site
www.2advanced.com
This was my inspiration---to make "technical sites"
Thanks a lot
and now thanks oldNewbie
That intro was good
But was the first one an intro
I doubt
Thanks a lot

you know, something you could do is just browser through flash templates on line to get ideas:

That templatemoster place gives me a lot of great ideas.

I think a splash page would be cool, but it should change about once a week or so, and never get too big.

Anything over 250k would drive away a lot of traffic, I think.

And, of course, it should be quality stuff. Nothing dorky.

This isn't really splash-screen stuff, but the art is great, and most of it could be Flashed:

Anybody (or oldnewbie as I know you a big on video) have any idea how it loads so fast. That video is really long but hardly takes any time to load. It video and audio is in sync, and it doesn't sutter.

I love 2Advanced work, Eric Jordan is the man....but come on guys...be original...you arent 2A....and most people do so dislike the intro...

Okay hopefully by this point it is not considered hi-jacking, so....

Does anyone know how that video loads so fast???

Fullsail, I considered going there once...but too far from home...the video is low quality, which you dont pick up on because its small..probably streamed also..just my opnion...

How low of quality do you think it is set to?
Do you think people on dial up would have problems seeing/hearing the video?
How do you think they took out the background: AfterEffects?

Cota

The background was taken out with after effects, most likely...Dial will most likely see some lag..dont know about the quality exactly...just low

Is After Effects that good
AfterEffects is absoluting stunning. But just like any program you have to know how to use it. (I don't).
