making desktop icons

Is it possible to make desktop icons (.ico) with flash? I think its not possible to export directly, but are there any freeware programs or plugins for flash/ or a re compatible with flash that can export into the .ico file format?

Axialis Icon Workshop will let you create icons from png images. I don't know of any way of using Flash for icons though.

What happens to the images convert to .ico in flavicon? are they kept in archive on the server or are they deleted?

You could create an image in Flash, convert it to a png/whatever and then create an icon from it - but why would you want to do that?? Flash's drawing tools aren't exactly cutting edge... :p
