Hello everyone!

I have a project in front of me. I need to dynamically load text from an xml file into a movie clip. Once the text is loaded a wav/mp3 file plays, narrating the text. My biggest hurdle is following the text as the narrator says the word/sentence. This problem may enter the realm of wave deconstruction and analyzing crescents and troughs YUCK! Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I could create a word highlighting mechanism. How could I synchronize the highlighting mechanism with the audio. Any sort of suggestions are so very much appreciated! I have a strong background in coding so pseudo is welcomed also! Thank You

it would be easier if the audio was imported into flash during authoring and synced then.

Download the animation package. I contains a script with which you can achieve synchronization of animations with audio from an mp3 file.

You may need to copy & paste the above in your address bar, because STUPID free PROHOSTING, have now decided (after more than 4 years...) that .swf was an unsupported format. What will you do for a $!
