So if I remake my MX 2004 fla in Flash 8 is there any difference since AS still 2?

The only difference if you publish for the Flash player 8, is that barely 10% of users will be able to see your movie!
It's not the software, but your imagination and creativity that makes the real difference!

Flash 8 makes it easier to create certain visual effects. They weren't impossible to create with MX 2004 (or even MX), but there's a lot less effort involved in creating them, because they have been built in to the authoring tool.
Either way it'll cost you: either you fork out the cash for Flash 8, or you invest the time learning how to do it manually.

But remember you can also publish to lower versions of the player using Flash 8. In doing that, nothing changes. You just wont have access to the new features in the Flash 8 player such as drop shadows and blend modes etc.

Thanks for clarify that to me. :)
So I will leave flash 8 alone until I learn MX 2004 (that 399.00  )

Do you know the penetration figure, or have a feel of it? Presumably it will be published soon... meanwhile, perhaps we can hope for an earlier kick up than usual, as v.7 pesters users to upgrade.

Some of my stuff, Unless I am including the new filters and other, I publish to FP7.
Until the world decides to upgrade.
Otherwise I have a link to DL FP8, and people dont like downloading, they just want to see.
