Where are my media components?

Hi, thanks in advance for your help. I can't figure this one out... When I open Flash MX 2004 Professional, in the components list there are no media components showing. When I browse to my program files component directory in the application folder, media components are there. Why aren't they showing up in the application when I launch it? How can I add them??

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but after you open your copy of Flash, you have to "Create a New Flash Document", then you should find the components under the "Window" menu.
