Comment away.

I've got a bio page in the works and plan to clean up the "downloads" page by including some screensavers, wallpaper, graphix and an organizational structure for those categories.

I'm having a little trouble with transitions at the moment - a fast connection won't have a problem but a slower one will not see the content child window's transition work properly. This is designed primarily for broadband so I've put it on the back burner (doh!)

Any design suggestions? I'm more code monkey than artist.

Thanks!

kyle

I like the transitions and all, main font looks good, but having mostly white for the background and all white html background makes it appear a bit plain.

Good work though :)

agree with headshotz...good work, too much white and also, those thick lines...i would use a plain stage bkgnd and a different color for the html. then get rid of them thick lines and just use harilines...but its cool!

I just want to say one thing.

Thank you for opting not to have the music auto-play when the site loads.

There isn't too much white! That is completely ridiculous! The problem is that it isn't doing anything because the layout is rotten. Your font size is too big and runs right to the edges making it look cramped. The more space (white!) you can incorporate in your design, the better it will be. Any professional designer will tell you well balanced space will immediately improve your design. I'm assuming you're an amatuer because it is the most basic mistake commonly found on this forum. The author sets a template for themself and then crams in the content, filling every inch of the space - have a look around. Professional sites don't butt all the content up....newspapers don't run the text right up to the pictures.....SPACE SPACE SPACE

take it easy kraaft, when we say too much white, we are not talking 'bout YOUR site...

You'll have to excuse kraaft, he means well, just has issues with his mannerisms. Kraaft makes a very valid point, though it could have said with more tact than that. The over all design is lacking. It seems as if half the design was an after thought, a compromise for content. Though the site does have a nice fun feel. And to quote myself, backgrounds and borders are your best friend. They can make or break a site. Space, white or otherwise, creates an air of vastness. Makes it appear as if there is this vast space and can make the site very appealing to the human eye. I think Ingo at 24-7 media has found the perfect blend of space, background & borders, and content. Always good to check out what the big dogs are going to get an idea.
