Hi!
Does anyone know how to create a win/mac-software that extends Flash functionality, just the way FlashMidi (http://www.alexisisaac.net/products/flashMidi)
does?
I guess that this involves
1) compiling a OS specific app or service
2) developing kind of an SDK for connecting the Flash swf with the OS app
Any ideas?

if you only know how to code in flash then i suggest getting a book on cpp and start from the begining or you will never be able to make an app like this and im pretty sure it has nothing to do with the os besides the fact what operation system flashmidi was compiled for

Hmm...
Flash can't handle midi. By downloading and installing FlashMidi for windows or mac, combined with using the FlashMidiSDK when creating the Flash example, there's suddenly a way for Flash to (via FlashMidi) access operating system functions - in this case midi.
It's this bridge between the os-limited Flash and the os function that I'm interrested in.
I've done quite a lot programming in Delphi, some in c++, and more recently some Flash/AS.
One way seems to be Screenweaver (screenweaver.org). Anyone tried this?
Any other ideas?

I assume this is for a standalone projector EXE, rather than an online SWF?

Yeah, that might be the case. I will check it upp in the Screenweaver forum...
