okay, so here's a small cry for help as I am still somewhat new to flash. I have an imported logo in my flash site, and every time I publish the file, the logo looks like sh*t. I've tried importing it at the highest quality in so many different file formats and sizes, and NOTHING works. I have a feeling that the problem's on the flash side of things, but I've decompressed the movie and set image quality at its highese and everything!! I'm in a fix and need this site up today. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it!!

what was the file format you are using?
PNG works the best for keeping quality
And in the library, right click on that file (the image your imported in) to control the 'publish settings" quality. Click on properties.
You can choose from Losless PNG/Gif or Photo Jpeg, which you can set to publish at document quality

Have you changed the size of the logo within Flash? You have to import the logo in the exact same size as you need it for it not to distort. (though you can scale it down by exactly 50% and it will retain its quality). If you've not changed the size of it within Flash I can only agree with Wizy's suggestion.

anyway do this (in flash 8):
File -> Publish settings -> The tab for Flash there u see JPEG quality ..
if u set that to high. the quality will be alot better but the loading time will be a little slower
