Gamespot.com home flash news "applet" transition effect

Yesterday I was searching through gamespot when I saw their home-page embbeded flash that shows the latest news and stuff, I wonder how they manage to do that transition effect (just wait some secons for it to go the the next "screen") ... I guess its a kind of mask effect but could not imagine how to do it in flash?

That one is pretty simple. Just make an MC that's black on one side, white on the other, and there is a blur where the colors meet. Then, make it move from left to right so that the clip goes from one color to the next. Then, just put it on a layer on top of the MC you want to "wipe" and play it.

Thanks a lot Paerez, I will try that. Though, it would be perfect if you could post a little example, its kinda hard to follow just your written instructions.
