button troubles

for some reason
my rollover image only happens when the mouse is on the side lettering of my button
but not in the middle of the button

can anyone solve my problem?

If you double click on your button and go to the 4th frame (entitled "HIT") you can draw the shape you want the button to be affevted by. The area drawn on this frmae will be the area the button will work from.

i tried that
but the button..still only reacts on the edges of the image

it works when i press "enable simple buttons" in the workspace

but it won't work when i preview or publish it

The problem is arising cause you have a button in a button, the shape behind "home" is also a button and it is causing a conflict. Change it to a movie vlip or a graphic.
