Ok, so here's what I'd like to do, and I'm not even sure if its possible after having asked around and searched the usual places for tutorials...
I've got a flash movie which is 800px wide by 1500px tall, so its a vertically scrolling site. It contains a holder movieclip (contentloaderMC) which is also 800px by 1500px - so the full size of the site, but I'd like to be able to load external movies into this contentloaderMC, and have them stay centered vertically and horizontally inside contentloaderMC in relation to the BROWSER window, not in relation to the holderMC itself.
Is this possible? Am I going about it the wrong way by having a holderMC that is the full size of the main flash site?
