Loading an external .gif in flash

I am trying to call in real media ads inside flash. The ads come in different formats...flash, jpeg, animated gif. Everything is working fine, except whenever there is a animated gif real media ad, flash just loads the first frame of the real media ad. Can anyone tell me, if there is anyway of loading up an animated gif real media ad with the animated gif working the right way. All the real media ads are hosted in a different server and I cant store them locally.

I would really appreciate some help on this issue..from all the flash gurus here.

I think you are using Flash 8 to work, right???
Flash 8 does not support animated GIF file properly...

Yes I am using flash 8, will it work properly in flash mx or mx 2004?

No it won't unless Macromedia add that feature...
