Calling an AVI with FSCommand

How can I execute a Video Player (like Media Player or QuickTime Player) to run an AVI or other movie format that exists on a CD (from wich my Flash movie runs)?

fscommand ("exec", "movie_name.mov");
this doesn't seems to work?

Will there be SO compatability problems?
