Fat frame one

I've got a movie w/ total size of 600k.

Banwidth profiler tells me that frame one is 500k. But, all that's there is a preloaded bar. In fact adding and removing items on that frame seems to make no difference as far as the profiler is concerned. What gives?

You're most probably using components, attached movie clips and/or soundObjects (with linkage set to export on the first frame...) and/or setting up fonts in the Library, and all of those linked elements which have to download before frame 1 is ever played, and that is what's adding all that weight.

Guess it's preventing your preloader from showing up until most of the site is already preloaded... One workaround is to use a seperate preloader only movie to preload your movie without it's present preloader.
