PHP for use with Flash

Hi,

I'm not posting this in the acronyms section purely because it doesn't really warrant that level of expertise. I am posting this on this forum in general because the books advetised here:

I thought I'd have ago atr doing something more than just actionscript with Flash, and after the good review thew book got here I bought friendsofed's 'PHP for Flash'.

Now I discover that I had to install PHP or Apache, or both, or something, and there's instructions for every windows option available.

All that's provided for Mac is a helpful note that it's already installed on Mac OSX. "Great" you would think. "Saves me the trouble". Except I'm running Mac OS9.

Has anyone already been throught this book and got past the first 5 pages?

I can't get osx :mad: I'm saving for Flash 6 :)

Can't really tell you if the book's good or not, because I still haven't installed PHP.:confused:
