I tried the Navigation Circle Tutorial

And it's pretty easy except that when the circle rotates, the text on the buttons appear only in the first frame....then they disappear until it reaches frame 1 again. The buttons themselves remain intact throughout.
I've looked at the source file for the example and mine looks EXACTLY the same (the text resides in the buttons, which are circle within the graphic, which is within the movie clip.
Any idea why the text disappears during the circle motion tween?
