View Full Version : Saving flash vars into .txt locally
Hi guys,
Wonder if anyone can help me with this:
I need to save the vars from flash to a .txt file locally. Is there any way instead of using server-side scripting?
Cheers, Ohai :p

Man, why are you avoiding serverside(well, that I can understand), but 3rd party too? I was just like you, I had to create folders with files to save stuff etc. And I found that using a 3rd party was very very helpful and even pleasant. I recommend using Screenweaver, once you install it it adds in the Flash environment a lot of new functions that do just what you want, and more. The thing is , once you SWF your FLA, you have to open the SWF with Screenweaver, click Build, and an EXE variant of the SWF is created, which performs all of the new Screenweaver functions called within the SWF!(In the original SWF, they don't work) You can even add an Icon to the EXE, plus a lot of other stuff. You should really think on exploring new possibilities, you mught be surprised
