Hello,

I am designing a basic "How To Make Wine" movie for a client. One of the animations in my movie is to be the "racking" process. In other words, siphoning wine from one barrel to another through a plastic tube. Has anyone seen this type of animation before. I assume it will be a basic motion tween or masking animation?.

Thanks for your time, jevans.

I've attached a file showing how I would go about making such an animation. It's pretty straight-forward and involves shape tweening, a motion guide and masking.

Hope it helps,

IF YOU GO TO THE UK X-BOX SITE, THEY HAVE A LOGO AND BUTTONS THAT HAVE SOME FLUID PASSING THROUGH THEM, I THINK IT LOOKS COOL AND MIGHT GIVE YOU SOME IDEAS.

I THINK I GOT IT RIGHT.

hello again,

now i have studied pixelwit's fla throughly, and really im not a complete moron, but why is it that in the attached fla my "tube" refuses to mask my "wine"?. is there some issue with using a stroke as a mask.

thanks again, jevans.

Can't use a line as a mask, you need to convert it to a fill.

"Modify" - "Shape" - "Convert Lines to Fills"

Hope it helps,
