Component appears as black box

Hi, I have written a component and exported it as a swc file. When I drag it from the components panel into a new document it appears on the stage as a solid black box. I do not have any black boxes in the component, I would like it to display the border I have positioned in the first frame of the movie. Does anyone know how to solve this?
