remove video background with blend mode?

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove a white (or black, or specific colour) background from video using blend modes (or anything else!) in flash 8?

nah mate not directly. putting the video in a container clip you can apply the filter to that which could work for you.otherwise video does support an alpha channel so with altering the video itself you can achecive what you are looking for.
