hi,
The title pretty much describes my problem. I have a couple of sound clips playing on the main time line. The audio and imagery are synced perfectly when I play the movie in flash but when I test my movie (export to swf) the second audio clip is way out of sync (the first one is fine) both are set to stream
I have no idea why this would be happening. both files are the same bit rate, stereo, etc..

Both sounds on the same layer?
How long in frames is the first one?

originally I had them on the same layer, then I moved the second one off to its own seperate layer. but that didn't seem to change anything though.
my fla is running at 24 fps
the first sound clip is 200 frames long
the second clip is 93 frames long

okay I copy/pasted the frames from the relevant part of the scene and saved as a seperate fla since my current fla is 60 Mb. Anyway the problem is still happening in this smaller version so you can take a look. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
attaching didn't want to work so download here:
rar (3Mb) (http://www.freesand.com/stuff/choppers.rar)
zip (4Mb) (http://www.freesand.com/stuff/choppers.zip)

Yeah I've seen that happen before, and had never thought of trying what I just did, which was pulling up the second sound (and it's writing...) until it slightly overlapped the end of the first sound... And guess what, the sync was now much better...
So I guess when the playhead hits the portion where there are no stream sounds, Flash is no longer tied in to maintaining your framerate based on sound... If you get what I'm saying!
Guess if you added another 3rd silent (or volume set to 0) stream sound, to cover that gap between your present 2 sounds, the sync would be maintained!
Keep me posted!

Just tried what I suggested above, with a third silent stream sound, and it seemed to work fine.

I created a silent wav and placed it on a new layer, slightly overlapping the end of the first clip and the beginning of the second and it kept it synced. Worked great.
Thank you so much!

I should of tried that long ago... Would of helped a bunch of other users caught in the same situation... Glad it works! ;)
