Default Fonts and Mac OS X?

I am trying to be a good little designer and upgrade everything to OS X but I am having one hell of a time finding something like the good ole ATM for Mac OS X. I have downloaded a demo of Suitcase 10.XX.XX, and Font Reserve. Here are the problems with both that I have found so far. Anyone know anything better for OS 10.1.5 or know what causes these little things? Maybe I just need to clean out my fonts, I dunno... again

Suitcase looks good but...
>>> A lot of my fonts don't preview properly in Suitcase ( I get a default Univers looking san serf font in the preview - for almost everything)
>>> It doesn't run in the background like ATM did. Fonts that you activate only run when Suitcase is up and running. There are no startup folders in OS X so again... I dunno
>>> My font menus are a mess! No nice clean menus like with Type Reunion
>>> Doesn't find and kick out duplicate fonts

Font Reserve looks good but...
>>> ALL of my fonts don't preview properly ( I get some very jagged previews)
>>> It doesn't run in the background like ATM did. Fonts that you activate only run when Font Reserve is up and running.
>>> My font menus are a mess! No nice clean menus like with Type Reunion
>>> And it takes everything and places it in the Font Database which is great but it takes FOREVER to catolog my fonts
>>> It doesn't run very stable either. Starts and stops.

Any type freaks out there that can help me here, ha ha?

Always go to the source...

http://www.extensis.com/suitcase/18j.html#carbon

Not sure if this will answer any of your questions but Extensis is pretty good USUALLY about support. They have a pretty active sales and demo staff that goes around.

Thanks. They had some suggestions that I have tried. Now suitcase kind of works. I think I must have some corrupted fonts somewhere.

Hey where in the "deep south" are you? I went to Mississippi State.

Cool. Atlanta rocks. I had a phone interview with a design firm there the other day. Who knows maybe if I beg long enough EAI will pick me up, ha ha.

Hey, English chics think a southern accent is cool...right?
