Default GetURL- setting new window size without access to HTML file to add Javascript

Hello fellow forum junkies!

Here's a hum-dinger for you...

I have a flash file linked to a PayPal shopping cart. I have many "add to cart" buttons which use GetURL to send variables (product info) to PayPal, which brings up a new window (which is all well and good).

But, how do I set the size of this new window? I know that in most cases I could add some Javascript to the linked HTML file, but in this case I have no control over PayPal's HTML coding. So, is there a way to set the window size SOLELY through the flash file? Know what I mean, Vern?

Thanks for any beneficence!

Try something like this...
ActionScript Code:
getURL("java script:window.open('http://www.mysite. com','testing','menubar=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,scrollbars=no,width=32 5,height=325'); void(0);");
Of course you can edit the criteria accordingly...
Also, you have to add your variables at the end of the url if you have to send variables...

Hey!

Thanks so much for the reply! Could you (or anyone else) do me a favor and illustrate how to include the variables? I've tried two things so far:

"javascript:window.open('https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?" add variable1 add "&" add variable2 add "&" add variable3 add " Etc Etc

and

"javascript:window.open('https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?variable1=blah,variable2=blah, variable3=blah Etc Etc

Both methods load the window at the correct dimensions, but don't pass the variables!

Any thoughts???

Talking no prob...

Here is an example...
ActionScript Code:
MyVariable = "whatever"; getURL("java script:window.open('http://www.yourfile.php?MyVariable="+MyVariable+"  ','testing','menubar=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,scrollbars=no,width=350,height=100'); void(0);");

Thanks to this forum for previously helping me learn this...
